What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (Platform Engineering) to join our core Engineering team. This role will be pivotal in shaping the platform that powers our hybrid exchange, ensuring high performance, scalability, and observability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, systems architecture, and low-latency messaging infrastructure.

As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing an internal developer platform that streamlines the entire software process, improves efficiency through automation, and monitors system performance. From building the foundation to integrating essential tools, you will empower developers to deploy, operate, and manage applications with maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Core Data Management

• Automate the writing and processing of core trading data to our Clickhouse Cluster.
• Ensure high availability, accuracy, and consistency of data across the platform.

Observability

• Develop and maintain the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, and Mimir) to provide comprehensive logging, metrics, and tracing for system intelligence and monitoring.
• Create and maintain dashboards and alerts to monitor our services and anticipate reliability, scalability, and performance needs.

Analytics and Experimentation

• Design and implement an analytics and experimentation platform to understand user behavior and optimize their experience on GRVT.
• Work closely with data scientists and product teams to develop data-driven insights and strategies.

Low Latency Messaging Infrastructure

• Develop and maintain low-latency messaging infrastructure to support the high throughput and low latency requirements of our trading environment.

Optimize system performance and ensure reliable message delivery under various conditions.Cross-Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with other teams to optimize performance, automation, and efficiency across the organization.
• Work with the Product Engineering group to develop, test, and refine our SDK and other client-facing systems.

Key Requirements

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in platform engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
• Professional experience developing production software in Go, with familiarity with other languages.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in database systems, including Clickhouse, and messaging protocols.
• Experience with metric collection and monitoring tools or services.
• Strong understanding of API architecture and testing tools.

Problem-Solving and Collaboration

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• A thoughtful and empathetic approach to design and implementation.

Additional Skills

• Experience using and improving modern software development infrastructure (development environments, CI, testing, deployment).
• Understanding of the challenges involved in operating and evolving scalable and reliable data storage systems of multiple types.
• Eagerness and aptitude to learn new languages and technologies.
