Are you an experienced Engineering Manager seeking to join a dynamic, collaborative team? Our company has an ideal opportunity for you! In this role, you'll oversee engineering tasks, coordinate projects, and contribute to software design, execution, and enhancement to meet user requirements.

Job responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Guide and mentor a team of proficient engineers, offering direction and assistance to nurture their professional development, motivation, engagement, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Cultivate a constructive and collaborative team ethos, advocating for transparent communication and a sense of accountability among team members.

Agile Management

  • Supervise the planning, execution, and deliverables to ensure timely completion, adherence to scope, and adherence to quality benchmarks.
  • Fulfill Scrum Master duties, including coordinating daily stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related activities.

Technical Leadership

  • Demonstrate a robust technical background to comprehend the intricacies of engineering tasks and offer valuable insights to the team.
  • Provide technical acumen and direction to the engineering team.
  • Promote ongoing enhancement in engineering processes and methodologies.
  • Proactively share knowledge internally and externally.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Facilitate dialogue between technical and non-technical stakeholders to bridge gaps and foster a unified work environment.

Mentoring and Development

  • Offer mentorship and guidance to team members, nurturing their professional growth and advancement.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for skill augmentation to ensure the team remains competitive and adept at emerging technologies.

Resource Management

  • Identify and resolve any obstacles or challenges that may impede team performance.

Performance Evaluation

  • Conduct regular performance assessments, offer constructive feedback, and acknowledge exceptional contributions.
  • Collaborate with HR/Site Manager to address performance concerns and implement strategies for ongoing enhancement.

Communication Skills

  • Effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Cultivate a culture of transparency and open communication within the team.

Key Requirements

These are the minimum requirements a candidate needs to fulfill to be evaluated for this position.

  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • Leadership experience 5+ years in engineering
  • Demonstrated expertise as an Engineering Manager or in similar leadership capacities
  • Robust software development technical background
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
  • Solid Agile understanding: Methods (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Scrum Master background advantageous
  • Proficient English communication, written and spoken
