Job Overview and Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer, you will work as part of a dynamic team to support the development and implementation of data-driven solutions for Pollen's platform. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining data pipelines, data warehousing, and managing various data-related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be passionate about using data to drive business decisions and improve customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data models that support business requirements, and integrate with various data sources and platforms.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using ETL tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Glue.
- Build and maintain data infrastructure such as data warehouses and data lakes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality, reliability, and accuracy.
- Monitor and optimize data loads and pipelines for performance and scalability.
- Perform data analysis to support business decisions and identify trends and patterns in large datasets.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and tools to continually improve Pollen's data management capabilities.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java or Scala
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL, and data modeling techniques
- Ability to design and implement data pipelines using tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Glue
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
